Dosage

Zechstein Magnesium Oil is not ingested, but rather sprayed directly onto the skin and transported from there to the cells. As a result, the dosage can be regulated as required. The usual side effects are avoided even in the case of higher doses.

For whom is the transdermal application of magnesium suitable?

Everyone who wants to remedy a magnesium deficiency quickly and reliably.

Who benefits in particular from the transdermal application?

  • All those who tolerate oral magnesium poorly
  • All those who reabsorb magnesium poorly
  • Older people
  • All athletes, due to the adjustment of the dose free of side effects
  • All those who suffer from muscular cramps and require immediate help
  • Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers

Advantages of the external magnesium application

  • Free of resorption problems in the gastrointestinal tract
  • Dosage according to individual requirements possible
  • Acute remedy for muscular cramps
  • Free of side effects, such as diarrhea
  • Faster effectiveness
  • Selective application to problem zones possible
  • Does not need to be ingested

Zechstein Magnesium Oil

1 ml saturated Zechstein magnesium chloride solution contains 103 mg pure magnesium. The number of spray actions depends on whether the concentrated solution or the diluted product is used, and on how many spray actions are required for 1 ml Magnesium Oil. Between 5 and 20 spray actions are recommended per application, depending on the spray efficiency of the bottle.

For example, where 5 spray actions equate to 1 ml concentrated Magnesium Oil (31%), 20 spray actions equate to a dosage of 412 mg pure magnesium.

Do not spray magnesium oil in the eyes and do not apply to freshly shaved areas, injured skin or open wounds.

Daily application

For a daily dose of magnesium, Zechstein Magnesium Oil is sprayed directly onto the skin and massaged in lightly. Normally 5 to 20 spray actions are applied to the skin in the morning and at night, depending on the concentration of the solution and personal requirements, and lightly massaged into the skin. It has been shown that the arms and shoulder areas are best suited for daily use. However, the oil can also be applied to the thighs, calves or stomach. Application to the armpits has also proven beneficial.

In this case, magnesium oil simultaneously acts as a deodorant.
When using magnesium oil for the first time, start with a low dose and gradually increase the amount so that the skin gets used to it. A slight tingling or sensation of warmth may initially be felt at the places of application. This is normal and a sign that the magnesium is being absorbed into the skin tissue.
People with sensitive skin may experience an unpleasant sensation on the skin from the concentrated magnesium solution. In this case, we recommend diluting the magnesium oil with water in a 1:1 ratio. Diluted solutions are also available from retailers as ready-to-use products.

However, the magnesium content is then reduced by half. For this reason, twice the number of sprays must be applied to achieve the same amount of magnesium.
Where an unpleasant sensation is experienced after the magnesium oil has dried on the skin, it can simply be washed off with water. At least 5 to 10 minutes should be allowed for penetration, though.

Use for acute cramps

In the case of acute cramps, Zechstein Magnesium Oil is sprayed directly onto the painful area and is rubbed in. This normally relieves the cramp in a few seconds.

Zechstein Magnesium for athletes

Athletes have found massaging magnesium oil directly onto sore muscles during training or a competition, or shortly thereafter, to be beneficial. The muscles do not tire as quickly as a result, and also regenerate more rapidly.
Apply 5 to 10 spray actions directly onto the affected muscle areas and massage in lightly.

The application can also be repeated during training or a competition, as required. Magnesium oil reduces the regenerative period of the muscles after intense muscular activity.

Application of Zechstein Magnesium Gel

Zechstein Magnesium Gel is suitable both for athletic fitness massage as well as for relaxation massage. Apply gel and massage in gently for several minutes. Leave gel on the skin for at least 15 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water when it feels tacky to the touch. Worked well into the skin, however it can also remain on the skin.

The gel should not be applied to open wounds, freshly shaved or injured skin. The eyes and mouth area are to be omitted. When applied to a larger area a slight sensation of heat can occur. That is normal and can be traced back to the blood vessel-widening effect of magnesium.

Zechstein Magnesium Flakes

Magnesium for relaxation and regeneration
Magnesium flakes have proven to be effective in a magnesium full bath, although magnesium oil can obviously also be used in general. Magnesium absorption from the full bath is influenced by the magnesium concentration, the body area covered by water and the duration of the bath. The absorption of magnesium increases disproportionately with the concentration.

The water should have a temperature of around 37 degrees Celsius, and the duration of the bath should be at least 20 minutes. 750 g to 1 kg Zechstein Magnesium Flakes are required for a full bath in a standard size bath tub. To cure a magnesium deficiency, we recommend taking 2 full baths over several weeks.

Magnesium for healthy and radiant skin
Magnesium is known for its special effect on skin. It feeds the skin with moisture and improves its structure and elasticity. Dry skin in particular benefits from a magnesium bath. It helps heal skin problems, including pimply skin, eczema, acne and psoriasis.

Magnesium foot bath

The foot bath is a practical and convenient alternative to the full bath. Since the body area covered by water is significantly reduced in a foot bath, and less absorption area is consequently available, a higher magnesium concentration should be selected (approx. 4%). The feet and ankles should in any event be fully immersed in water. We also recommend a temperature of around 37 degrees Celsius for foot baths. The duration of the bath should be at least 20 minutes.
Research has shown that a magnesium deficiency can be effectively and quickly cured with a daily foot bath.

Preparation of recommended concentrations for foot baths:

5 litres water with 200 g magnesium chloride flakes results in a 2%solution.

5 litres water with 400 g magnesium chloride flakes results in a 4% solution.
5 litres water with 500 g magnesium chloride flakes results in a 5% solution.

Magnesium relaxation bath in sport

Athletes have found a magnesium relaxation bath directly after exertion to be particularly beneficial. The magnesium concentration of the full bath in this case should be at least 2%. Approx. 2 kg magnesium flakes are required for this. The water temperature should be around 37 degrees Celsius. A magnesium full bath is highly recommended for over-exerted and painful muscles with excessive acid levels.

A foot bath with a higher concentration of magnesium oil can also cure a magnesium deficiency quickly and reliably. In this case the concentration should be at least 5%. A foot bath with 5 litres water requires approx. 500 g magnesium flakes or 0.6 litres magnesium oil.
